V Festival

Time flies when you’re having fun, but here’s a few snaps from my amazing weekend at V Festival. This was my first time at V Festival and I am already planning on going next year.

AH! I couldn't get enough of all the good music!! I don’t think I’ve danced that much in like... ever. The best act who was there has to have been David Guetta and Rihanna! I've never really been a huge listener of David Guetta, but all the hype, lights and fireworks made it really good (well apart from the fact we were stood in between two mosh pits).  I loved it so much, I didn’t want it to end!! I’ll be back for next year, that’s for sure!  Anyway.. the best thing about the whole festival was having the opportunity to go to such an amazing surreal festival with a few of my extremely close friends where we could just go party and dance in the fields like no one was watching.

Life Update

Today was a big day for a lot of us in the UK since it was A-level results day. The day that we dread from the minute our exams are over. For many of us it is the day where many of our dreams are finally beginning to come true.

First up I just want to applaud you and give you a pat on the back for getting this far. Sixth form is hard and there is no denying it. We've all had are fair share of wobbles and lack of self-confidence. But look at how much you have done in the past few years, you did it!

If you know me, you'll know that there has been an immense amount of pressure. Since my AS results didn't go as well as I was hoping so I needed to turn it around this last year. I ended up having to resit History AS so I somehow had to do both years in one as well as resubmitting AS units for Art, which was stressful to say the least.  September last year when everyone is discussing which universities and courses they are wanting to apply to made me realise that I couldn't mess around and that I needed to work god damn hard if i wanted to get in to the university I wanted.

The hard work paid of and guess what!!

I GOT IN TO UNIVERSITY!!!

I will be moving down to Salford in three weeks time (it's so close OMG) and I'll be attending Salford University this September to do a TV and Radio Production course.

Thursday has been an absolute whirlwind of emotions, I think I just needed a moment to sit and write about the day. For those who are wondering I needed to get particular grades to get in to my firm university And I did it... I somehow managed to get a B in Art & Design and Media Studies and a D in History.

I am excited to start in September as its a new chapter and a new adventure ahead of me.

I hope everyone is as happy after results day as I am, but if not its not the end of the world, make a new plan and go and live it, no one is going to stop you. Congratulations to those who got their places and going off to the follow their dreams and I wish you all the best of luck.

New York Adventures

As many of you will already know because it's all I've talked about since I got back, but for those who don't last week I went to New York City for the week! How lucky am I!!

I fell in love this city the moment I stepped out of plane. Even driving from the airport gave me an excited feeling. I knew this holiday would be my favourite from the beginning. The first time I spotted the cityscape across the Hudson River, I couldn't help but smile. As cliche and cheesy as it sounds, I had Taylor Swift’s ‘Welcome to New York’ stuck in my head whilst driving through the streets of Manhattan to our hotel.

We stayed in the rather posh Roosevelt near the busy Times Square. Which meant our first night was spent strolling around Times Square, with lights that dazzled us and crowds so busy you could barely move.

Enough of me blabbing on about it all. Here is a selection of photos from our week away in New York.  I think I have more photos than days I was in the city to share with you, so I hope you’re as enthusiastic about The Big Apple as I am! But when you have views like those from the Empire State and Top of the Rock, blogger instinct takes over.

And so it begins...

Even more from New York coming soon!!
